New Hire Paperwork
- If you haven’t already completed your new hire paperwork (I-9 and W4), you can download them: W4 and I-9. Bring them and accompanying documents to your on-boarding meeting.
Duck ID and email
- You’ll need a Duck ID to access various university services like email, Canvas, the university’s wireless network, and VPN services (among other things). Passwords expire every 180 days and can be changed using UO DuckID Self-Service.
- Your university e-mail address is your Duck ID username plus “@uoregon.edu”
- Set up Two-Step Login with Duo. Visit the Service Portal for more Two-Step login information.
- Use your Duck ID and password to log into your office computer. Remember, your new password will expire in 180 days. You will receive an email reminder beforehand.
- To set up your email account, refer to our brand standards for email signatures. For assistance in updating your signature, contact the College Support Team or visit Microsoft Support for instructions.
ID Cards and Keys
- New faculty and staff at the University of Oregon are given Flock cards for after-hours access to Allen Hall and 1715 Franklin.
- To get your card, follow this link to Submit Your Photo.
- If you are working in Portland or are a remote employee, please email the card office and ask them to mail your ID card to your location.
- If you are based in Eugene, you will be able to pick up your Flock card from the UO Card Office in the Erb Memorial Union (EMU), Ground Level.
- If your primary work location is Eugene, on your first day, you will receive a slip to claim your key from the UO Card Office in the EMU.
- Email Faculty Services a photo of the back of your Flock Card to receive 24/7 Prox access to Allen Hall and 1715 Franklin. Tap your card on any card reader within 48 hours of Prox access to activate.
Technology
- We offer Zoom and Teams calling on campus. Headsets are available for Teams calling.
- Set up your Teams calling voicemail box. Detailed instructions can be found here: Voicemail in Microsoft Teams.
- Instructors and Faculty: Contact Canvas Support Services for Canvas training, or consult Self-Help Canvas Training.
Transportation & Parking
- If your annual FTE is .50 or greater, you are able to ride the Lane County bus system (LTD and EMX for free. To do so, click here to download the UMO™ app to your device and register for this service.
- There are commuter and parking options available. For parking options, visit Transportation Services to purchase a parking permit, if applicable. Transportation Services is located at 1401 Walnut Street, on the corner of Franklin and Walnut Street.
DuckWeb
- DuckWeb is the university’s online resource for faculty and students. It provides access to course evaluations, grades, course registration, class rosters, personal and employee information, and more. Additional DuckWeb information here.
